Sunday Plan for 2/28/2021

Dear Church Family,

After much discussion and prayer, the elders have decided there will be no activities at the building through 2020 besides our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.  This includes no fellowship meals.

Additionally, unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing one, masks should be worn by all over the age of six while inside the building, including during singing.

The only exceptions are as follows:
1. When partaking of communion
2. Announcers, song leaders, communion leaders, and        speakers must wear masks up to the pulpit and them      remove them only for their part in the assembly,                putting masks back on when returning to your pew

While we would prefer not to have to implement these requirements, ultimately the facts are undeniable:  40-plus members of our church family contracted the virus after being at our service (pizza and singing) on Wednesday, October 7.  We do not know if it was our eating or our singing together without masks that allowed the spread, but the elders believe we could have done better.  As such, we feel compelled to put greater health and safety measures in place.  It is our responsibility to care for this flock, and that includes watching out for your health.

We understand that this is difficult and some will not agree with this direction.  We love each and every one of you no matter what.  What we ask is that you please consider your brothers and sisters, and their well-being.  We appeal to your Christian motives and humbly ask for love and grace during this time.  "...Though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, yet for love's sake I rather appeal to you..."  Philemon 1:8-9

Should you have any questions, please contact one of the elders directly.  Thank you for your continued patience and for your love for each other.

In Christian Love,
Glen, Bruce, Mark, and Craig
